A legacy of quality

John Gomm’s passion for quality and customer service is deeply rooted in his family’s legacy. As a third-generation Roadrunner, John grew up in a family business that began with his grandfather’s antique trade, selling fine primitive antiques across the East Coast. From a young age, John was involved in every aspect of the business, learning the art of negotiation, customer relations, and the importance of delivering exceptional products alongside his father, who expanded the business at just 21 years old.

A love for machinery

John’s fascination with machinery was sparked early, watching heavy equipment transform buildings and skylines. He spent his childhood attending heavy equipment auctions with his father and operating forklifts by the age of nine. As a teenager, he channeled his mechanical skills into rebuilding cars and excelling in sales, becoming the youngest manager at Home Depot’s electrical department. After several years pursuing his passion for fabrication and mechanics in the racing industry, John returned to his roots in buying and selling, this time specializing in heavy equipment.

Today, John applies his lifelong dedication to quality at Roadrunner Equipment, where he and his team meticulously inspect, refurbish, and restore every unit to meet the highest standards. Committed to transparency and reliability, John ensures that customers trust Roadrunner Equipment for delivering outstanding products that exceed expectations, embodying his guiding principle: if he’s not committed to being the best, he won’t pursue it.
